In the early 19th century, court gardener Carl August Christian Sckell developed a concept for gardens that artfully connect the three Dornburg castles. What not all visitors know is that not only the castles but also the green spaces are listed as historic landmarks. So when a plant dies and something new is planted, they first check what used to grow in that spot. Gardener Frank Bergmann and his team have just pruned and tended to over 1,000 rose bushes.
